ClassHub

One class. One place to find it all.

ClassHub is the student-records app I built for my college class in January 2023. I built the complete project in Glide, using its visual drag-and-drop builder and an Excel sheet as the data source. The app brings student details into one place, with views for storing, retrieving and filtering records. Its home screen groups placement information, exam results, fees, events, the timetable and attendance. The focus was making class information easier to find, without building a custom frontend or backend.

THE STARTING POINT

A problem
worth exploring.

A spreadsheet can hold student details, but the class also needs a clear way to find and use that information. I wanted a single app for class records and everyday academic resources, rather than relying on the spreadsheet alone.

WHAT CAME OUT OF IT

A published Glide app that brings student records and class information into a single interface, built end to end with no-code tools and spreadsheet-backed data.

How I approached it

  1. Connect an Excel sheet to Glide as the data source for the class's student records.
  2. Use Glide's visual builder to create screens for storing, retrieving and filtering student information.
  3. Organize the home screen around placement information, results, fees, events, the timetable and attendance, then publish the Glide app.

What I took away

  1. No-code tools still call for deliberate data structure, clear navigation and useful views of the information.
  2. Choosing the right level of tooling matters: Glide and spreadsheet-backed data let this project focus on the class workflow rather than a custom software stack.
